The Community Development NGO recently hosted a heartfelt and celebratory graduation ceremony marking the successful completion of the Beekeeping for Women project. During the event, participants were awarded their graduation certificates and bid a fond farewell to their esteemed mentor and advisor, Dr. Almut Schultheiss.
Over the course of this two-year initiative, under the dedicated guidance of Dr. Schultheiss, a group of women from the Vayots Dzor region acquired not only comprehensive theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in beekeeping, but also gained self-confidence and a renewed belief in their own capabilities.
Participants expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity, emphasizing that the project was far more than vocational training. It was a transformative experience. In recognition of her unwavering support and mentorship, the graduates presented Dr. Schultheiss with a heartfelt letter of appreciation.
One participant shared:
“During these two years, we not only learned the secrets of beekeeping but also regained faith in ourselves and our abilities. We hope that such training programs will continue in the future.”
The Beekeeping for Women initiative stands as a powerful testament to how access to education and skills development can unlock women’s potential, transforming individual lives and strengthening entire communities.
The project was implemented by the Community Development NGO in partnership with the German organization Brot für die Welt, and with the direct involvement and support of Dr. Almut Schultheiss.
