Building a Dignified Future Today
Youth are the driving force behind community development. Their creativity, initiative, and innovative ideas form the foundation of social, economic, and cultural progress. For many years, Community Development NGO has been contributing to youth empowerment by providing them with opportunities to gain knowledge, acquire skills, and realize their full potential.
Summer Camps
Since 1994, with the support of the Vayots Dzor Diocese and the Armenian Diaspora, Community Development NGO has been organizing summer camps as a humanitarian initiative for children of servicemen who lost their lives during the First Nagorno-Karabakh War.
Over time, this initiative expanded into a platform for intercultural dialogue, welcoming not only Armenian youth but also Abkhaz, Georgian, and Azerbaijani teenagers.
Before each camp, selected leaders undergo specialized training, gaining the necessary skills to work with adolescents. Throughout the camps, participants build new friendships, develop communication and teamwork skills, and acquire valuable life competencies.

International Summer Academies: A Platform for Knowledge, Collaboration, and Growth
Since 2010, the “Community Development” NGO has been organizing annual international summer academies that bring together young people from different countries, creating a unique platform for knowledge sharing, skill development, and intercultural exchange.
The key outcome of these academies is not only the transfer of knowledge but also the establishment of intercultural connections.
Young participants from various countries have the opportunity to share their experiences and ideas, build long-term friendships and partnerships, which often serve as a solid foundation for future joint projects and collaborations.
Community Initiative Groups
The Community Development NGO has established community centers in various communities of Vayots Dzor (Yeghegnadzor, Jermuk, Taratumb), where initiative groups composed of 5–7 active young people carry out important activities. These groups identify local community issues, develop solutions, and launch projects, revitalizing community engagement and promoting youth participation in public life.
As a result of the work of these initiative groups, a variety of projects have been implemented—campaigns, educational seminars, and other programs—entirely carried out with the direct involvement of local youth.

Internship Program:
Learning by Doing
Community Development NGO places strong emphasis on the professional development of young people and their integration into the modern labor market.
To support this, the organization runs a paid internship program for recent university graduates who lack prior work experience. Through hands-on involvement in real projects, interns gain practical skills, contribute to organizational initiatives, and build professional confidence.
This program not only enhances participants’ career prospects but also helps them make informed decisions about their future paths, preparing them to meet the demands of today’s job market.
