Art as a Bridge Between Generations

Once again, Yeghegnadzor Community Center was bustling with life, filled with smiles and emotions. A uniquely formatted exhibition brought together the colorful paintings of the children’s art group and the refined, handmade works of women from the sewing and modeling group, creating an extremely warm and creative atmosphere.

With mischievous smiles, the children tried to guess whether their parents would recognize their paintings, while the women, with quiet pride and emotion, presented their handcrafted creations. Just a few months ago, they had only begun to explore the art of sewing, and today they are exhibiting their works and receiving their first professional certificates.

This initiative served as a symbolic crossroads between generations and between different worlds. A place where the simplicity and sincerity of childhood met the resilient spirit of those who had endured hardship and loss, yet remained unbroken and eager to start learning something new and creating.

The exhibition once again demonstrated that the Community Development NGO, together with its partners, creates opportunities where diverse life stories converge around a common goal: to grow stronger, develop, and acquire new skills. The groups not only provide practical knowledge but also help people rediscover themselves, integrate into a new environment, and uncover their inner strength and potential.

The painting group operates with the support of the German organization Renovabis, aiming to provide psychological support and integration for children forcibly displaced from Artsakh. While the sewing group is part of the program entitled Support to Socially Marginalized People Living in Border Villages and Displaced People, implemented with the support of the German organization Brot für die Welt.
