The Community Development NGO is committed to integrating numerous initiatives aimed at environmental protection and addressing ecological issues into its projects. This approach helps raise awareness among the youth, identify existing environmental problems, and develop potential solutions.

Young people aged 15 to 25 from the Yeghegnadzor, Jermuk, and Taratumb communities in Vayots Dzor province recently had an opportunity to engage in informal ecological education. They participated in discussions, community campaigns, and multi-disciplinary processes focused on environmental issues and solutions.

The objectives of these camps were to:
– Cultivate a generation of youth with ecological knowledge and skills, who are proactive in addressing environmental concerns and seeking solutions.
– Implement effective strategies to tackle and resolve environmental challenges.
– Form active and proactive youth groups capable of ensuring sustainable development within their communities.

To enhance the project’s effectiveness, the Environmental Education courses were conducted in natural settings, allowing participants to experience environmental issues firsthand.

It should be noted that the successful implementation of these environmental camps was made possible through the support of the German organization Bread for the World, a long-time partner of the Community Development NGO.
