On October 13, Michel Pazoumian, the Fund’s agricultural projects delegate, Raffi Hekimian, project manager at the Armenian Fund of France, Suren Gevorgyan, the Armenian director of the Fund, and Karine Barseghyan, agronomist, were hosted by the Syunik-Development NGO.
The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the agricultural projects implemented by the Syunik-Development NGO, to discuss the Fund’s new project, and to get the NGO’s advice about its activity.
Naira Harutyunyan, Syunik-Development NGO Agricultural Programs Coordinator, presented the all agricultural projects. The Intensive Nursery established in the region with the support of the Atken Armenian Foundation was also presented, which provides free high-quality fruit seedlings to the young farmers of the Vayots Dzor Region․
After the presentation of the agricultural projects, the employees of the NGO together with the guests visited the drying center, Aghasafi demonstration field, where they discussed various issues.
We are hopeful that the experience given by Syunik-Development NGO will help the Armenian Fund of France to implement some agricultural projects in the regions of Armenia.
