The German organization Brot für die Welt (BfdW) has been with Syunik-Development NGO since the 90s, from the roots of the formation of the NGO. This cooperation continues effectively to this day.
The trajectory of the NGO’s 25-year activity is parallel to the socio-economic growth of the Republic of Armenia, in particular, Vayots Dzor Province.
The role and support of the Brot für die Welt is invaluable in all parts and qualities of the formation of that trajectory.
With the support of the organization, we have been able to contribute to the development of value systems that have been recognized by the Brot für die Welt as the cornerstones of sustainable economic development: food security, human rights, peace vision, civil society development, healthcare, climate change, gender equality and integration of vulnerable groups. As a result of this multi-layered cooperation, human dignity, democracy, equality, pluralism and other values adopted by the European family became the property of the population participating in the program.
The cooperation between the German Brot für die Welt organization and the Syunik-Development NGO has entered a new stage in line with the challenges of the 21st century, where community development events, youth potential empowerment initiatives, intercultural and educational programs are fundamental for development.
One of the best manifestations of the effective cooperation between the two organizations is that in addition to the previously planned programs of about three decades of cooperation, Brot für die Welt was with us also in times of a tumultuous and chaotic process of events, difficult and emergency situations for Armenia. One such initiative was Psychological Rehabilitation Camps for children and youth of Armenia’s border areas after the armed conflict in the region in 2016.
Despite the fact that the Covid-19 pandemic is a serious problem around the world, including in Germany, neverthless, our German partner responded promptly to the situation in Vayots Dzor and contributed to the fight against Covid-19 carried out by Syunik-Development NGO.
We are proud of the existence of the foundations of constructive and mutual understanding between Syunik-Development NGO and Brot für die Welt, mutual trust and respect for each other’s values, and cooperation with the greatest responsibility.
We follow and are inspired of Brot für die Welt activities around the world, from Africa to East Asia and the Pacific Region, from the Caribbean to the Europe.
We wish the Brot für die Welt organization and our German partners a successful and efficient process in the endless process of carrying out complex and laborious, humanitarian missions all over the world.
